Our Charities

We all know of Cancer, it happens to other people. The Surrey Spring Show has been established by a group of friends who have all been touched by this disease.

The idea to raise money with a charity show began when dear friends Sam Holland & Sue Alkin were both diagnosed. The Show is being run to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Hospital (where Sam continues to receive her excellent treatment); and St.Catherines Hospice (Crawley) that cared so wonderfully for Sue. The committee and everyone involved have given their time for free and every penny of the proceeds will go to the two charities. Thank you for your kind and generous support.

The Royal Marsden is a world-leading cancer centre, providing the very best treatment and care for more than 40,000 cancer patients every year.

It is also at the forefront of cancer research. The Royal Marsden’s work influences how all cancer patients are treated and cared for, not just in its own hospitals but all over the world.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity (No.109519) supports this pioneering work. Thanks to our supporters, we are able to help The Royal Marsden continue to push boundaries and raise standards of excellence.

When people donate to the charity they support everyone who benefits from the work of The Royal Marsden. Scientists searching for cures. Doctors who depend on the latest treatments and technologies. And, of course, cancer patients and their families. Together, we can keep making life better for people with cancer and keep striving towards a future without it.

St Catherine’s Hospice is a charity dedicated to providing specialised end of life care and support to local people, their families, friends and carers.

For over 25 years they have been providing high quality hospice care, free of charge, to people living in Crawley, Horsham, Mid Sussex and East Surrey.

Hospice care is based on the belief that each person is more than their illness, and that each of us has unique physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. St Catherine’s responds to the needs of each individual, helping people achieve the best possible quality of life.

This highly personal, holistic approach to care takes time, skill and experience from a multi-professional team. They care for people in the hospice, in their homes and in nursing homes. St Catherine’s Hospice (No.1525404) critically rely on voluntary donations and legacies.
